About John Fairbairn

With an impressive 36-year tenure in commercial real estate, John has been a stalwart figure in the industry. His journey began in 1988 when he acquired his Colorado Real Estate license, marking the initiation of a remarkable career.

In 1999, John founded Fairbairn Commercial Inc., looking to expand his knowledge in the real estate world of investing, developing, and continuing to represent real estate professionals in Denver. Over the next ten years, the company experienced significant growth, expanding to six employees, and earning the trust of clients like South Metro Fire Rescue, State Farm Mutual Insurance Companies, South Metro Chamber of Commerce, Expanets, Koelbel & Company, DPC Companies, and Salsa Properties. Fairbairn Commercial Inc. actively manages, leases, sells, and develops several properties in the Denver area.

John's commitment extends beyond the boardroom, as he has actively participated in community service. Serving as a board member for the Southeast Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, The Sewall Foundation, and chairman for the Brokers for Battered Kids event, John is dedicated to charitable initiatives that make a positive impact. His leadership in the Commercial Brokerage Association and elected director position for the Colorado Association of REALTORS® reflect his deep involvement in industry governance.

A 1987 graduate of Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics, John balances his professional life with a fulfilling family life with his wife Lindsey and their two beautiful children daughter Georgia, son Tyler, and their lab Nala and Westie Millie.
